This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.
Artist's Description
This artwork represents the shameful behavior of the ICI in New York when during the Moscow show trial of Pussy Riot in 2012 they bestowed their prestigious "Leo" (Castelli) curator award upon Vladimir Putin crony Dasha Zhukova, wife of Kremlin-compliant oligarch Roman Abramovich. This was a shameful event when NYC's fine art elite set aside moral principles while they went in search of tainted Russian oligarch wealth much of which was stolen from the Russian people.
About Shay Culligan
I practiced serigraphy for 12 years, silkscreen printing my collages and photographs onto card and canvas. Since succumbing to Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2020 I can no longer squeegee the ink through the silkscreen, my physical strength is now limited, and the pain in my wrists is indescribable. Because I am not one of those artists who utilizes assistants I have decided to retire from this medium. Many thanks to the few loyal patrons who have supported me through those years.
